Almost after three decades in the entertainment industry, very few performers have risked as much artistically with greater frequency than Christy Mcnicol. At various points throughout her career, manager's and fellow performers have admired Christy's ability to push new boundaries and succeed, this is definitely one amazing success story. 

Born and raised in Sydney, like most other transsexuals Christy new she was different from a very young age. Christy was always fascinated by the world of entertainment, and by age fifteen was dared by a group of friends to enter a talent quest. She took out first prize and caught the eye of Australia's famous Les Girls producer Carlotta, and so the journey begins.

After two years in Sydney's Les Girls Kings Cross stage show, Christy was asked to go on an Australian casino tour with the prestigious "Simon and Monique Playgirl Revue". After several years touring Australia Christy left the revue and headed for Europe as a fire eater. Her act took her to Amsterdam,Athens,Barcenlona,Dublin,London,Paris,Rome,and Scotland. While in Paris Christy was asked to do a few runway shows which gained her popularity within the fashion industry.

Returning to Australia Christy begun producing male strip revues that performed mostly around the nightclub scene between Sydney and Brisbane this show played to celebrities such as Madonna, Robin Williams and Jerry Hall  that were visiting Sydney. Christy was now in the spotlight, invites for music video clips and television auditions started to flood in. Some career highlights for Christy was being invited to Tokyo for a television show called" Move" produced by Tokyo Broadcasting Station (TBS). Christy's television appearances include "Water Rats", the UK'S "Cold Feet"  the  life story of "Johnny O Keefe" and some fun interviews with Kerry Anne Kennerly. Christy's music video appearance's to name a few, were with Ice House, "Satellite" Tina Arena's "Now I can Dance" and who could forget Priscilla Queen of the Desert's" I love the Nightlife"! 

With the birth of "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" director Stephen Elliot asked Christy to produce a show to entertain guests at the Australian premiere of the movie. Christy brought together some of Australia's finest transsexuals to create "The Original Priscilla Show". The show was an overnight success with the media claiming it to be the show of the nineties." The Priscilla Show" embarked on a national club and casino tour .In 1997 "The Priscilla show" was nominated for a" Mo Award"

Becoming the MC for Australia's leading female strip revue" Bad Girls Australia" sister show to the world famous" Manpower Australia" Christy was yet again on tour, this time a world tour. The tour ended in Las Vegas, after Las Vegas Christy caught up with American drag legends Chi Chi La Rue and Frank Marino. Christy was invited to perform in West Hollywood with Chi Chi and Frank from the Riveria Casino invited Christy to do her "Cher" impersonation at the casino. Most American drag performers sing live, so Christy was off to the recording studio to put down some wonderful cover versions of some popular songs that we all know and love.

These days Christy travels with her one woman show, "Gypsy" which has everything from glamour to comedy and a few little surprises! A fun night out for everyone! Her exuberant and infectious appeal adds a captivating dimension to any performance she delivers.
